Don’t forget the deadline is fast approaching to RSVP for the Women’s day at the spa. You need to call the GHA office at 314-482-5973 as soon as possible. The available appointments are filling fast. Visit the spa’s web site to view a list of services available. If you have already RSVP’d to Nancy make sure you contact the spa to schedule your salon service and hold your appointment.

Mark your calendars and start planning now for NHF’s three-day conference, November 11-13, 2010. New Orleans—that’s where the National Hemophilia Foundation is headed this year for their 62nd Annual Meeting. You can count on interesting educational sessions, interactions with others who share similar concerns and social activities planned with you in mind. There will be plenty of time to sample the best New Orleans has to offer, from jazz music to creole and Cajun cooking and shopping in the French Quarter. For information click here.

Heart II Heart-”Women’s Day at the Spa”

August 28th, Heart II Heart will be having a Women’s Day at The Face & The Body Day Spa in Brentwood, MO. We will be providing lunch at 11:30 in the Spa’s Oasis Room. Then our salon appointments will start at 1:00. You may choose from any service they have to offer, and GHA will provide you with a $25 gift card toward the expense. You will be responsible for paying the remainder of the balance at the time you make your appointment. If you are interested in attending you need to first RSVP to GHA as soon as possible. Once you have RSVP’d to GHA we will provide you with the contact information to the Spa so you may schedule your appointment. If you have any questions or want to RSVP contact GHA at 314-482-5973. The annual Tee Off 4 Hemophilia is our main fundraiser to support GHA activities such as conferences, research, and advocacy. The 20th Annual tournament, on Sept. 27, will be at WingHaven Country Club in O’Fallon, MO. With our new website you can now register online and then join us for golf and dinner, in support of the bleeding disorder community.

Family Education Weekend set for Westport Plaza

The GHA 14th Annual Family Education Weekend will be July 30 – August 1 at the Sheraton Westport Hotel at Westport Plaza, I-270 and Page Blvd. in St. Louis County. The event begins with a Friday night reception for new families attending their first FEW. Organized activities for teens and children will be provided Saturday, and baby daycare will be provided Sunday. The educational program will consist of two separate tracts, one for patients and families affected by Hemophilia and the other for patients and families affected by vonWillebrands Disease. They will run simultaneously with everyone coming together in the late afternoon.
